Hey all,

I need to start getting supplies for holiday cards this year (preferably while Paper Source is still having a sale *cough*), so I need to know how many I'm making!

My plan for the cards is pretty awesome this year (and time-intensive, ugh) but hopefully I'll be able to have them mailed out by New Year's...

If you'd like a card from me this year, please respond to this post with your name and address, please ♥

Fall break is almost over and I didn't get anything done. (Which, according to faculty guidelines, I wasn't supposed to have to do anyway *glares at Anthro prof*)

I'm so majorly tired of school. I'm hoping it's just Reed. Planning on talking to an art professor here to see about next semester, and I'd like to check out PNCA... Because I definitely don't want to be an art major here (40 page artist statement? Kiss my butt).

*siiiiiiiiiiiiiiighhhh*

My life nowadays is filled with long, drawn out internet sighing.

It seems like all I want to do is draw or read or play with my dolls... Yay, escapism!

I kind of really regret leaving MICA. I think I'm just tired of fucking school. I don't think I can take grad school. My dream of working in/eventually owning a bookshop is so so appealing right now. Couple of business classes, couple of years working in a shop, I'd be golden, right? And Shivana will run the adjoining cafe. *siiiiiiiiiiiiiggggggghhhhhhhhh*

Just give me my fucking Bachelor's, dammit.

Oh my GOD I hate packing so much. And I'm not even doing much of the packing. My mother, the expert at fitting too much stuff into too little space, has thankfully offered to help. But I'm still a mess. One day to shuffle my room into some semblance of order, and then I'm off at the ass-crack of dawn to catch a flight to the wonderful land of Oregon. Where I will realize I forgot to pack numerous essential items and have to buy new ones anyway. Are there rules about packing home items in luggage? Because only 1 (maybe 2) out of the 5 checked bags we're taking is packed with clothing, the rest is just my crap that I can't live without, dammit. Yay for godmothers with AmEx points for first class upgrades. There was a bit of a scare today, as apparently the airline has changed their baggage regulations, and (as you can probably deduce) we're pretty much depending on those 3 checked bags per person. Hopefully everything works out.

Julie and Julia was great, and it did indeed make me want to cook. A lot. Ponyo was also cute, but beware, the end credit song made me run screaming (laughing, actually) from the theater. Children should never try to rap. EVER. Especially about little fishies in the sea. God, they butchered that theme song so much. As a side note, Cate Blanchett's voice will never stop giving me shivers. Just thought you should know.

Okay, so this post was probably completely indecipherable, and it really is time for me to go to bed now. Be prepared for OREGON PICTURE SPAM in the next post. You know you want it.

I'm done work for the summer, so now I've got a week to get myself together before heading out to Portland... I don't know if this is enough time, honestly. My bedroom is an absolute mess. I am an absolute mess. *sigh*

I'm planning on seeing Ponyo tonight, and Julie and Julia tomorrow. It seems like I've seen so many movies in these last few weeks... I guess I'm afraid I won't have any time to see anything once school starts. I dunno.

I guess there wasn't much point in this entry. Next time I post will probably be from PDX! Exciting times...

Not one but TWO deliveries today, both awesome. First, I got my Jetpens order (yay pens/pencils, notebooks, and eraser refills!) and then I got my Dollstown body (2nd hand) for one of the floating doll heads. Yesssss it is gorgeous.

Secondly, I saw Harry Potter last night. Am I the only one who loved this movie? )

Also, my boss (and former physics prof) gave me some zucchini yesterday! We had some with kebabs for dinner today, and I grilled the rest with some other veggies for some sandwiches/panini tomorrow (hopefully). In any case, they were delicious. He promises tomatoes and herbs (and more zucchini) as well. I can't wait!

The other day I finished reading the 4th book in Lynn Flewelling's Nightrunner series, Shadows Return. I didn't realize how much I enjoy these books until I reread them. There are a few inconsistencies in the beginning of Shadows Return (perhaps a testament to the 9-year hiatus the author took between the publishing of books 3 and 4) but all in all it was an entertaining read. I still think I prefer the earlier books, but it will be interesting to see where she goes with book 5 (Amazon is saying 2010! Let's hope it doesn't get pushed back). I look forward to seeing the Hazadrielfaie (I hope?) and hopefully a bit more action and intrigue...

Anyway, not much else going on. I finished the painting for the COLORS! book, but you can't see it, it's a secret :P I'll be sure to post info here when the book is available for preorder.

Yay, THE END!
